Established by Jamie Jameson, began brewing in Wellington in 1984 as New Zealands first micro-brewery and working beer laboratory (brew-length 2,000 litres) producing "Real Ale". Discovered and the previously unknown anti-bacterial property of hops in beer and patented its use to brew and keep beers bacteria-free, thus requiring no further preservative treatment
Discovered and patented a previously unknown natural yeast nutrient that increased yeasts alcohol tolerance, reduced fermentation and conditioning times and allowed for high-gravity brewing and flavour improvement
Discovered the molecular dynamics of how enhanced hop aroma and flavour develops in beer and patented a method of achieving this with 100% surety brew to brew.
Discovered and patented the profound anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-cancer property that may be found in some beers.
The Company now has a full focus on the life-saving immunological properties of beer, but still contracts out experimental brewing.
