Newly created opportunity for a hands-on engineer in a fast growing, cutting edge craft beverage manufacturer. Located in Stoke, Nelson, they are a second-generation, family owned business who is proud to continue the legacy started in 1980 by their parents.
With production growth and future developments in near sight, McCashin’s is eager to bring a Maintenance Engineer to their team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the focus of your role is to reduce production down time through the smooth running of all machinery in the Bottling Hall. A diverse position, you will be attending to and resolving packaging team machinery faults, manage the preventative maintenance system and assist with any equipment upgrades or commissioning of new machines. You will get involved with running the lines and training Operators, therefore a hands on approach and good communication are required. There is potential to step up and take on more responsibility in the future as production continues to increase and diversify.
We are looking for a registered electrician with mechanical skills, ideally has experience in fast moving production environments and/or automated production systems. You will have a keen focus on improving efficiencies, possibly using Lean methodologies, and will be resourceful when finding long term sustainable solutions. Some experience in commissioning new machinery and training Operators would be beneficial. McCashin’s have a collaborative, energetic and honest culture; alignment with this style is essential.
The production team operates a single shift, Monday to Friday from 7-5 pm. Flexibility to work outside of these hours is required.
