Steam Brewing Company is New Zealand’s trustworthy contract brewer and bottler. We have a world class reputation for brewing excellence, and brew some of the country’s best known and admired beers. We have developed a reputation, been awarded for innovation within our industry and perform tasks that many breweries shy away from.

Our rapidly expanding and multi award-winning brewery is seeking a Brewer to join its team. The position is a full time role.

The key responsibility’s of the Steam Brewing Co Brewer relates to operating the Brewhouse on site at Otahuhu in Auckland and ensuring the beers are brewed to our high quality standards. This hands on position which at times will be unsupervised reports directly to the Production Manager and ultimately to the General Manager here at Steam Brewing Company.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their passion for beer and brewing and ideally qualified in brewing or studying towards these qualifications. Similarly applicants solely with prior brewing experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities.

Day to day activities in the Brewhouse

Juice and Beverage blending

Recipe Formulation

Monitor beer quality, micro and process control

Assist in Production Planning

Raw Materials sourcing and purchasing

Sensory evaluation and tastings

Acting Production Manager as required

Attributes.

Minimum 3 years brewing experience
