We are currently seeking applications for an experienced, capable, and safe fork-lift operator, willing and able to operate in a hands-on role. This role is primarily production and warehouse based, with an emphasis on overall delivery of raw materials and packaging to our brewery and packaging line. The role reports to the Warehousing Supervisor and is intended to support this role with efficient and accurate performance.

You will be a committed team player as this role requires close liaison with the packaging & brewing teams and will be critical to your success.

Key Functions:

Support and back up for the Warehousing functions, specifically for annual leave and sickness.

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and packaging to the brewery and packaging lines.

Assist with production planning for packaging requirements, via maintenance of accurate stock-counts for all materials.

Be able to accurately receive inwards goods and load these into the inventory tracking system.

Be able to pick orders accurately and load trucks.

Understand and follow strict food safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Has the ability to interpret and understand the production plans and to plan duties in advance with the Warehouse Supervisor.

Completion of all warehouse & distribution paperwork & documentation- promptly & accurately.

Complete the required fork-lift safety checks.

Ideal Competencies:

Solid intermediate knowledge and competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Class 4 HT Licence an advantage.

Experience in food, beverage, FMCG or transport warehousing and distribution.

Highly organized and systematic in approach- able to work well under pressure, with the genuine ability to multi-task.

A genuine attention to detail, where you can prove excellent record keeping and stock taking accuracy.

Flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks and likes to keep busy. The role is required to operate over two sites with duties that can include container devanning, lining and/or loading.

A good level of physical fitness and capability is needed, with knowledge in safe manual handling practices.

Experience in working with food safety and quality management programmes.

A current forklift license & driving experience is essential for this role.
