Lakeman Brewing is on the hunt for an awesome person to join our brewing team as an assistant brewer.
Lakeman Brewing is a small brewery located on a farm a short drive from the beautiful mecca of Taupo. We are passionate about producing beer to the very best of our abilities and have been fortunate to produce some trophy winners over the last couple of years.
Lakeman Brewing is an exciting, growing company that aims to put Taupo on the craft brewing map.

At Lakeman Brewing we value people just as much as our beer and although we are serious about the beer we are also serious about having fun and enjoying the great environment Lake Taupo has to offer.
The successful applicant will be part of a small brewing team required to produce high quality, award wining beers. We would prefer the successful applicant to have at least one year’s brewing experience but it is not essential if we think you are the right fit for the job.
We would like to employ someone with a love and passion for producing quality beers as we think this is a must.
You will be expected to work in all brewing areas from management of the raw ingredients through to wort production, fermentation, filtration and packaging.
This is a hands-on job so a good level of fitness is a must.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high attention to detail and quality to make sure we continue to produce fantastic beer. We also have stringent systems and checks to follow as we run under National Programme 3 of the Food Act 2014.
This person will need to have an excellent work ethic and be able to work unsupervised but also be a team player.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following attributes and skills:
* Have a love and passion for producing quality beer
* Preferred but not essential to have a sound knowledge and understanding of the brewing process, beer styles and beer faults
* Good time management
* Have a positive can-do attitude and be a team player
* Be practically minded
* Proficient English, mathematics and communication skills.
* Be health and safety focused
* Computer literate
* Have high standards for hygiene and cleanliness
* The ability to deliver under pressure
* Be willing to learn and up skill yourself
Hold a full drivers licence
This is a full-time position, 42.5 hours per week however during peak periods there maybe overtime. All applicants must be a resident of New Zealand or hold a valid working visa.
