Compliance Manager - bStudio
bStudio Ltd is a recently established service provider to the craft beer & beverage industry based in beautiful Napier, Hawke’s Bay. bStudio is growing fast and maturing rapidly in terms of our systems & processes.
Our mission is to deliver the highest quality brewing and beverage packaging service through employing the best technology, manufacturing plant and people. The facility operates under strict production policies and procedures, which have been developed in line with the requirements of the British Retail Consortium audit standard (BRC).
We are currently seeking applications for a Compliance Manager. This key role in the site Senior Lead Team is responsible for oversight of the Quality & Safety programmes for the business, to ensure that quality & safety outcomes are never compromised.
Oversight of the on-site laboratory and team
Developing and improving the site’s safety and quality systems
Ensuring that external audit accreditations are maintained, via a comprehensive internal audit programme
Being a champion for continuous improvement in all aspects of brewing, packaging and support functions
Coordination and leadership of quality & safety improvement plans for the business.
We anticipate that the successful candidate will have:
Degree level qualification in a relevance Science/Technology discipline
3-5 years’ experience in a Technical/Quality Management role, ideally in the fermented beverage sector of FMCG, but other relevant manufacturing experience will be considered
An up-to-date working knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation
A proven track record in managing compliance & audit systems, in a manufacturing environment.
A passion for quality and safety, with a customer service mindset
Strong problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of quality assurance laboratory testing in a manufacturing environment
A proven track record in leading and motivating a small team
Professional and collegiate approach to ensuring adherence to, and development of, documented standards
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks undertaken
Strong initiative and integrity
Strong verbal communication & organisational skills
Comfortable in representing the business in customer facing situations and in relation to external audits
Must be able to multitask and think quickly on your feet
Must have a positive can-do attitude
Experience in working within a BRC or similar quality framework.
