The wild but always hospitable West Coast has always been known for its independence. Leading the charge are the good people of the West Coast Brewery, in Westport, located on the site of 'Miners Brewery set up 30 years ago. Since then West Coast brewery has evolved and matured to develop a wide range of naturally brewed beers and ciders (all brewed on site) that reflect the rich history, culture and goodness to be found in your West Coast experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing beer recipes, concepts and descriptions and sharing with the wider brewing team.
2.  Organising and partaking in collaboration and events
3. Representing the brand and the culture of the brewery in all internal and external activities.
4. Member of Senior Management team required to operate strategically to predict and plan for future business needs.
5.  Maintain current awareness of best practice brewing and packaging practices.
6. Production scheduling to optimise efficiency and utilisation;
7. Leading and managing all aspects of the brewery team including hiring, training, performance management.
8. Ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with Health and Safety procedures, leading improvements and changes.

About You

5+ Years of Experience as a Brewer in a Commercial brewery with practical knowledge of brewing processes and safety requirements.

Forklift license preferred.

Ability to manage and work in a team in a growing and dynamic environment.
