Duty Manager/Events Manager - Searchlight Brewery

About the business 

Searchlight Brewery is an independently owned and operated craft brewery located in Queenstown. Search, Seek, Evolve is what we say here, from brewing beer to running the company. We have a 10hl brewery with a small bar located 20min walking distance from Queenstown center. We brew a variety of beers and offer a space for people to come enjoy it away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Queenstown. People can enjoy locally made food and unique Queenstown views. 

About the role 

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly character to become on of our duty managers and manage events for the bar. You must have an NZ LCQ and managers certificate. This is a unique opportunity to create events for the bar. 

We love beer and think you should too. We don't expect you to be an expert but you will be expected to be able to talk the talk with our beer-loving customers. Don't worry we will be more than happy to teach you as long as you are willing to learn.

You must be independently minded and able to work on your own. You will be responsible to organize and manage all events and aspects of the bar.

Skills and experience 

• Must have LCQ and Managers Certificate
• Experience with POS systems
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Cash handling skills
• Cash up and close daily
• General bar duties
• Previous management experience required 
• Organisational skills a must
