We are looking for someone to come on board as soon as possible, our current brewer sadly has to leave for personal reasons as soon as a handover is complete

The Shakespeare Brewery is the oldest brewery in Auckland, and has been in operation for 40 years! This is a chance to be part of the blood of Auckland.

The Head Brewer will be responsible for brewing our range of high-quality craft beers, as well as recipe development for new products. This is a hands-on role and includes responsibility for brewing, packaging, shipping, quality control and safety in the brewery.

This could be the perfect role for an up and coming brewer to take the reigns for the first time, or someone looking for a relaxed atmosphere to brew.

We’re looking for someone with:

Previous brewery team leader experience ·

New Product / Recipe Development expertise ·

Knowledge of automated equipment and be mechanically minded ·

Knowledge and good understanding of a Food Control Plan ·

Chemical handling and cleaning standards knowledge / experience ·

The ability to be a team player ·

Be computer literate - good Excel skills essential ·

The ability to troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications in Brewing (desirable)
