Record Number of Award Entries

Entries for the 2019 Beer Awards are all in, and at a record number of 955 entries across beer and cider categories. We're excited to see a 13% increase in NZ entries, as well as over 130 different styles entered with the biggest increase in the amount of experimental or wood aged beers.

The most popular category to enter is once again the International Pale Ale, however there is also a significant amount of Lagers and Pilsners to be judged too. Over half of all entries were from our small breweries, which bring a level of independant creativity, and a regional offering that NZ has been enjoying over the last few years as craft breweries are opening in small communities, and servicing their local fans. 

Judging takes place on October 10-11, 2019 and awards are announced at the Beer Awards Dinner on October 19. some tickets are still available to the awards at https://bit.ly/2kvmSvI
