Beer and careers for the bold.
We’re Canyon Brewing. Rooted in adventure, sustainability, and a good sense of humour, we’re here to make high-quality craft beer that speaks for itself. Juicy hazy’s, crisp pilsners, and whack experimental brews, all made with creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for the land that fuels it.
We started in 2020 under the Edith Cavell bridge in Arthurs Point, brewing riverside on a tiny kit with one clear idea to make bold beer and have some fun doing it. Fast-forward and we’re now a two-site operation, with small batch brews still flowing in Queenstown and our commercial brewery running out of Robrosa Station in the Cardrona Valley, pouring into bars, supermarkets, and hands across Aotearoa.
We’re a crew of people who love craft beer, good banter, and getting stuck in. Culture here isn’t corporate fluff, it’s the real deal. Solid humans, high standards, and a team that actually likes spending time together. We back growth, we back ideas, and we look after our people with a strong remuneration package, free health insurance (where eligible), and discounts across our venues.
If you want to be part of a brewery that backs good people, backs big ideas, and keeps things bold, you’ll fit right in.
Enough about us, here’s a bit about your new Brewer role.
Your day will involve:
- Brewing on our production kit, plus experimenting with seasonal ingredients and new styles
- Packaging beer into kegs and cans, including running the canning line, kegging, labelling, and stock prep
- Keeping the brewery running clean and smooth by helping with keg washing, CIP, deep cleans, and general brewery maintenance
- Running checks, testing, record keeping, ordering dry goods and packaging, and pitching in on collabs and events when needed
You will bring:
- At least 1 year of hands-on brewing experience on production brewhouses, plus keg and canning line packaging experience
- Solid beer knowledge across classic and emerging styles, and a genuine obsession with making great beer
- A strong work ethic and health and safety mindset, plus clear communication, good time management, and a full drivers licence
- Self-motivated, curious, and hands-on energy
We want you to enjoy the work and feel supported doing it. We keep things safe, we keep standards high, and we’ve got each other’s backs.
