About you
As a Distillery Assistant, you’ll work closely with our experienced team to ensure the smooth operation of our distillery. From production to quality control, you’ll play a vital role in crafting exceptional spirits and other craft beverages.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting in Production – Help with the production process of spirits, which includes mashing, fermentation, distillation and bottling.
- Barrel Handling – Assist in the handling and maintenance of barrels used for aging spirits. This includes filling, emptying and moving barrels, as well as monitoring their condition and ensuring proper storage.
- Customer Service – Occasionally interact with visitors to the distillery, hosting barrel filling ceremonies, providing tours, tastings and information about the production process.
Experience:
- Passion for Craft beer & spirits, and the hospitality industry
- Experience with working in and around Breweries/Distilleries is preferred.
- Experience in a busy production or packaging environment useful but not mandatory.
- Production machinery experience and know-how advantageous but not mandatory.
- Very high attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Strong problem solving
- Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal team members.
- A keen-ness to get in and help with anything and everything when required.
