Finance Administrator – Emersons

We are currently looking for a Finance Administrator to join the team. This is a permanent part-time opportunity based at Emerson’s “spiritual home” in Dunedin and will report to our Finance Manager.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Ownership of managing the Emerson’s accounts payable functions ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and paid within appropriate timeframes.
  • Maintaining supplier records, ensuring all supplier bank accounts are verified and details are up-to-date.
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries with supplier accounts.
  • Ownership of managing the Emerson’s debtors’ function, receipting and allocation of receipts in MYOB, sending out customer statements, as well as resolving any issues with delinquent accounts and debt collection.
  • Maintaining customer Masterfile, onboarding new customers, ensuring timely processing of credit checks and accuracy of customer information.
  • Performing monthly account reconciliations: Bank, Credit Cards, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Assisting the Finance Manager to identify and implement process or system improvements
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis (at both Emerson’s and Speight’s Heritage Centre) on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.

 

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years’ experience in a financial administration role
  • FMCG background or medium-large organisation with high volume transaction environment
  • Strong systems skills (MYOB preferable) and practical experience in working with data
  • Management of multiple high-volume accounts
  • Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
