Finance Manager – Lion New Zealand

We are searching for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our Lion Finance Team. The role is a permanent, full-time role, based in Upper Hutt, reporting into our Craft Integration Lead. You will play an important role in managing the finance needs of the Panhead Brewery, ensuring good governance and providing commercial support to the P&L owners of each business unit. In this role, you will also support the integration of the Panhead business into Lion’s broader systems and processes. You will get to work with a truly cross-functional group of stakeholders, including senior management, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your business partnering skills and commercial acumen. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.

A day in the life

  • Produce regular financial and performance reporting
  • Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Monthly cost centre reporting and partnering with business units
  • Lead the outsourced financial administration support team
  • Ensure tax compliance across GST, FBT, PAYE and excise tax returns
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Identify and manage value creation initiatives within the business
  • Manage product pricing calculations

 

What you’ll bring

  • Being highly self-motivated with a desire to drive change
  • Strong commercial acumen accompanied by a robust governance focus
  • Strong ERP and systems skills (MYOB and/or SAP experience would be an advantage)
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Good leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Being highly collaborative and a good team player
  • Tertiary degree in a business discipline
  • CA/CPA qualification
