About the role
An entry level brewing role for those with a great work ethic and a hunger to hone their abilities in a professional environment. Our Brewers take an active role in all aspects of production and packaging at Garage Project – working as part of a dynamic team to follow best practice in the production of exceptional beer. We pay rigorous attention to all aspects of quality control, keeping accurate up-to-date records and maintaining a clean and safe working environment, to ensure a quality end product for our customers. The role will involve cellar work and the safe handling of product, all aspects of brewing the product, and providing support across the production process including packaging at times.
About you
You’re a brewer or cellar hand with some experience in the brewing industry. You have a passion for beer and the brewing process but are keen to learn and continue to grow your abilities. What you may lack in experience you make up for in ability to listen, learn, take instruction, and put in the hard work required to grow your brewing career.
In particular, you will bring the following:
- Some existing brewery experience with a desire to grow your skills further.
- Excellent work ethic, effective time management, and accurate record keeping.
- The ability to listen well, learn on the job, and work quickly but carefully to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- A level of strength & stamina appropriate to the physically demanding nature of the role
- Effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
- NZ Forklift Licence (preferred but not required)
- Current, clean NZ drivers licence
