Tap Room Assistant Manager – Altitude Brewing

Reports to Tap Room Manager Managing Director

Responsible for Tap Room Assistants Any part time/casual staff Catering/event contractors

Main Duties Beverage planning and control Responsible for Host Responsibility and can recognise signs of intoxication Has Duty Manager’s Certificate Controls orders to par stock levels Check the receipt of orders Ensure that measures are correct Ensure storage of beverages is correct

Customer Contact Promote customer satisfaction through a high standard of efficiency and courtesy Ensure consistent standards of drinks and service Personally respond to all guest complaints, deal with immediately

Staff Performance Identify any training requirements that may arise and refer to management Deal with any staff queries or problems during shift Monitor staff morale and immediately recognise any factors that may have a negative effect To promote, assist and encourage other staff to further sales

Control of Bar Ensure standards of cleanliness of bar and staff Ensure regular beer line cleaning Ensure that bar and staff are ready for service at beginning of shift, deal with any staff timeliness issues immediately

Cashiering Responsible for properly recording, analysing and control of all food and beverage sales at the time of sale Receives payment and ensures that dockets are entered properly Responsible for cash float and balancing of the till Accepts cash payments and makes correct change

Performance Standards Minimise staff turnover by encouraging a happy motivated work team and dealing with any issues immediately to ensure an advantageous outcome for all That all guests leave the bar having had their expectations exceeded in relation to service, food and beverage Maintain strict security standards to avoid damage or theft Controls, maintains and avoids breakage of operating equipment

Health and Safety Practice safe work habits following Company Health & Safety Policy Recognise and act on any health and safety hazards, and maintain appropriate documentation for each incident Be aware of fire emergency procedures To strictly observe all safety and hygiene practices

Personal Requirements A high level of personal cleanliness Able to work well under pressure Responsible relationship with alcohol Good communication skills Punctuality Flexibility to perform shift work Able to stay calm in difficult situations Able to work well in a team

Start date: Spring 2024 Work location: 827 Frankton Road, Queenstown, 9300 Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 per week Must have 3+ years experience in a craft brewery tap room environment Must have Cicerone Certified Beer Server qualification Must have NZ Duty Manager’s Certificate and valid Driver’s Licence
