Established in 2009 amidst New Zealand’s craft beer revolution, 8 Wired Brewing is an independent Warkworth-based brewery. We’re a small, dedicated team proud to have been named Overall Champion Brewery at the 2023 Brewers Guild Awards.
We’re now looking for a Sales Representative to cover the upper North Island territories, Auckland (main territory), Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Northland. We’re after someone who shares our love for craft beer and thrives on building connections.
Our ideal candidate is self-driven, goal-oriented, and great at uncovering new opportunities and seeing them through. You’ll be confident stepping into the role, getting to know your territory and customers quickly, and building solid momentum early on. Strong relationship-building and follow-through will be key to your success.
We’re after someone proactive, communicative, and naturally sociable. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, as this role comes with plenty of autonomy. A background in FMCG or liquor/beverage sales is preferred, and a genuine passion for craft beer is a must. Ultimately, we’re looking for the right personality, someone positive, outgoing, and easy to connect with.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, along with a full, clean driver’s licence.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage a mix of on-premise, retail, and grocery accounts.
- Create and maintain a call cycle that aligns with our overall sales strategy.
- Nurture existing relationships while actively developing new business.
- Seek and secure new sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, reporting regularly to the National Sales Manager.
- Use our CRM system to record customer notes and track progress.
- Some weekend / evening work will be required for events such as tastings, beer festivals, beer releases. Tap into your creative side and work with your accounts to create tailor made customer experiences.
