Established in 2009 amidst New Zealand’s craft beer revolution, 8 Wired is a Warkworth-based
independent brewery. We are a dedicated and compact team who takes pride in being awarded
the Overall Champion Brewery in 2023 at the Brewers Guild Awards.
We’re actively seeking a Sales Representative to cover the lower North Island, and we’re on the
hunt for someone who shares our love for the craft beer industry. Our ideal candidate is a self-
driven, goal-oriented individual with a knack for uncovering new sales opportunities and seeing
them through to fruition. Building and nurturing robust relationships within their portfolio is a
key aspect of this role.
We’re looking for a proactive individual with stellar communication skills, a sociable personality,
and the ability to thrive independently as this position does come with a reasonable amount of
autonomy. Preferably, you’ll bring a background in FMCG, liquor/beverage sales or hospitality
coupled with a genuine passion for craft beer. Ultimately, we are seeking the right personality to
join our team, an outgoing person with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and a full clean driving license.
Role responsibilities and expectations:
● The role will be varied, managing on prem, retail and grocery accounts.
● Creation and management of call cycle to align with overall sale strategy for the territory
● Nurture and develop current accounts while building new relationships
● Seek and secure new business opportunities
● Create and execute a sales action plan to meet or exceed sales targets with regular
reporting to the National Sales Manager
● Utilize our CRM tool to record customer notes and track progress.
● Some weekend / evening work will be required for events such as tastings, beer
festivals, beer releases. Tap into your creative side and work with your accounts to
create tailor made customer experiences.
