Altitude Brewing is committed to producing a supreme beer and beverage experience, inside and outside the glass. As Assistant Brewer you will take responsibility for brewing and production related activities, following the guidelines of the Head Brewer and reflecting the culture of the business.
Reports
Reports to Lead Brewer, Head Brewer
Scope of Operations
Work in partnership with other departments Assist with organising and participating in collaborations and events Represent the brand and the culture of the brewery in all internal and external activities
Responsible for
Brewing and Cellar Operations Brew beer, including following specific beer recipes, production of wort, preparation of all ingredients for production of beer, managing stock levels, manage water, manage yeast propagation and harvesting, keeping records, handling product and transferring of product. Provide support to other areas of production and packaging Utilise all lab equipment Develop experiments and research into NPD Maintain systems for preserving, processing, packaging, storing and delivering beer products Observe quality control procedures and safety standards for the manufacture of beer products QC all products for flavour, colour, taste, texture and content standards Identify key quality and spoilage issues in beer
Health and Safety
Practice safe work habits following Company Health & Safety Policy Recognise and act on any health and safety hazards, and maintain appropriate documentation for each incident To strictly observe all safety and hygienic practices

- Familiarity with Unleashed inventory management platform a bonus
