The Brew Moon Brewing Company has been brewing award winning beer in Amberley, North Canterbury since 2002. We are looking for a new assistant brewer/ packaging lead to continue the growth of our brewery and taproom. The right applicant could be in the brewing industry currently, or in the wider food industry with transferable skills in packaging, specifically canning. The role will include:
- Packaging (canning line)
- Packaging (keg filling and cleaning)
- Tank and line cleaning, carbonation tests, beer transfers, general brewing assistance.
- Festival work and delivery work as agreed and applicable.
Whilst most of the role revolves around packaging, those looking to develop their careers in brewing should also apply. Our brewery is a small, quality-focused operation. We have a stable core range of brews, but we also like to mix things up with regular seasonals, occasionally pushing the boundaries with styles and ingredients.
Pay rate will vary depending on the applicants experience and skills.
Amberley is a small but growing township, 40 minutes north of the Christchurch CBD. A great little town on the edge of a vibrant wine region, with beaches, bush and mountains all nearby. Our taproom is a busy venue with great local following, regular tourist activity, and a strong focus on community. We were recently named Outstanding Regional Establishment at the 2024 Canterbury Hospitality Awards. We have some flexibility with start date, but ideally mid- June 2025.
