Description
Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. is looking for a Fixed Term Packaging Operator to join our Richmond, Tasman based brewery over the busy summer and hop harvest period through until 31 March 2027.
This hands-on role includes keg washing and filling, bottling, canning, and dispatch support. We’re looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team, with a strong eye for detail and a great work ethic.
Tasks include:
- Washing and filling of kegs
- Canning, bottling including labelling and packing
- Picking and dispatch of orders
- Use of a computerised keg tracking database
- Maintaining a high standard of tidiness, cleanliness, and general housekeeping
- Assisting in other areas of the business as and when required
This is a physical role, with a lot of time on feet, lifting and moving goods, and operating equipment. As such, strong health and safety awareness and a moderate level of fitness and mobility will be other key aspects of the role.
Skills and Experience required:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable, punctual, physically fit and willing to undertake hands on work
- A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- An eye for health and safety of themselves and others – whether operating equipment, moving goods or handling cleaning materials
- A current forklift licence preferred but not essential
