Beer and careers for the bold.
We’re Canyon Brewing. Rooted in adventure, sustainability, and a good sense of humour, we’re here to make high quality craft beer that speaks for itself. Juicy hazy’s, crisp pilsners, and whack experimental brews, all made with creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for the land that fuels it.
We started in 2020 under the Edith Cavell bridge in Arthurs Point, brewing riverside on a tiny kit with one clear idea to make bold beer and have some fun doing it. Fast-forward and we’re now a two-site operation, with small batch brews still flowing in Queenstown and our commercial brewery running out of Robrosa Station in the Cardrona Valley, pouring into bars, supermarkets, and hands across Aotearoa.
We’re a crew of people who love craft beer, good banter, and getting stuck in. Culture here isn’t corporate fluff, it’s the real deal. Solid humans, high standards, and a team that actually likes spending time together. We back growth, we back ideas, and we look after our people with a strong remuneration package, free health insurance (where eligible), and discounts across our venues.
If you want to be part of a brewery that backs good people, backs big ideas, and keeps things bold, you’ll fit right in.
Enough about us, here’s a bit about your new Brewery Assistant role.
What you’ll be doing:
No two days are quite the same. You’ll play an important role in keeping the brewery running smoothly, supporting everything from packaging and cleaning through to stock handling and deliveries.

- Support the brewing team with ingredient handling, equipment preparation, and general production tasks.
- Keep the brewery clean, organised, and operating safely, including keg washing, equipment cleaning, and CIP cycles.
- Manage stock rotation, organise fridges and storage areas, and help keep inventory accurate and under control.
- Help get our beer where it needs to be where required, from customers and distributors to events, while keeping delivery records up to date and providing great service.
- Roll up your sleeves, lend a hand wherever needed, and help maintain the high standards that go into every beer we make.
What you’ll bring:
- A great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to get stuck in.
- An interest in craft beer and a genuine eagerness to learn.

- Clear communication skills and the confidence to follow instructions.
- A full, valid driver’s licence and clean driving record for deliveries (preferred).
- Previous brewery, production, or warehouse experience is a bonus, but definitely not essential.
