We’re looking for a Brewer’s Assistant to join our small, passionate team. Our brewery produces award-winning, high-quality beer supplied to our own venues as well as a growing network of bars, restaurants, and retail outlets. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the process, from brewhouse to customer.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. Working alongside our Head Brewer, you’ll gain experience across brewing, cellar operations, packaging, dispatch, logistics, quality control, deliveries, and general brewery maintenance while helping produce consistently great beer.
About the Role
You’ll be involved in:
· Assisting with brew days and cellar operations.
· Packaging beer, including kegging and canning.
· Preparing customer orders and supporting dispatch and logistics.
· Delivering beer and brewery products safely and professionally to our venues and customers.
· Receiving and organising raw materials and finished stock.
· Cleaning and sanitising brewery equipment and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace.
· Completing routine quality checks and production records.
· Pitching in wherever needed as part of a collaborative, hands-on team.
About You
We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a practical approach to getting things done.
You’ll bring:
· Experience in brewing, food production, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, or another hands-on environment is an advantage.
· A genuine passion for beer and enthusiasm to learn.
· A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved across all areas of the brewery.
· A current, full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
· The ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting up to 25 kg.
· Good organisation, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
· A current forklift licence or experience operating a forklift is an advantage, but not essential.
