Brewery Assistant/ Trainee Brewer

Cassels Brewing Co is a family owned business based at the iconic Tannery site in Woolston. We produce a wide range of award winning craft beers including 5 World beer award wins.

The wider group includes Cassels Brewery Bar, and a thriving functions business.

We have an exciting opportunity open for a full time Brewery Assistant / Trainee Brewer to join our highly talented Brewing team, whose primary role will be to assist with the production of high quality beer following established process and procedures . Relevant experience could be advantageous, however we value character and aptitude highly and comprehensive training will be provided in the absence of experience.

More specific duties include:

·        CIP’s

·        Operating separator and filtration equipment

·        Ingredient preparation

·        Assisting with packaging operations

·        Accurate and timely recording of production data and inputting into digital  IMS platform.

General activities

·        Housekeeping – ensuring work areas are maintained as clean and tidy at all times.

·        Work closely with the Brewery Team and production coordinator to ensure our overall processes are being carried out smoothly.

·        Maintain high standards of quality and plant hygiene.

·        Mechanical troubleshooting and assisting in-house and external Engineers with repairs / maintenance

General Duties

·        Assisting with stocktakes and troubleshooting any discrepancies that may arise.

·        Other brewery tasks as required from time to time.

Previous experience an advantage but not essential.
