About the Role

This is a hands-on production brewing role, with opportunities to apply your technical brewing knowledge to maintain quality, consistency and continuous improvement. From brewing and cellaring through to packaging and recipe development, you’ll contribute to every stage of the brewing process and take pride in producing beers that reflect the standards and values of our brewery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Brewing & Production
- Brew beer and other beverages in accordance with production schedules and approved recipes.
- Carry out all stages of the brewing process, including wort production, fermentation, conditioning, cellaring and packaging.
- Monitor fermentations, yeast health and tank schedules, raising any quality or process concerns with the brewing team.
- Transfer beer between tanks and prepare products for packaging.
- Operate packaging equipment, including kegging, canning and labelling.
- Maintain accurate brewing and production records to ensure product consistency and traceability.
- Assist with stock management of raw materials, brewing ingredients and consumables.
- Pitch in wherever needed to support the wider brewery team and ensure production runs smoothly.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with routine quality checks, including gravity, pH, temperature, carbonation and sensory evaluation.
- Help ensure every beer leaving the brewery consistently meets our quality standards.
- Contribute ideas for improving brewing processes, efficiency and product consistency.
- Support recipe development, seasonal releases and brewery trials.
- Keep up to date with brewing techniques, ingredients and industry trends, with a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
Looking After the Brewery
- Follow all Health & Safety, MPI, food safety and company procedures.
- Complete routine cleaning, sanitation and CIP procedures to maintain a safe, clean and hygienic brewery.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of brewery equipment.
- Represent Mount Brewing Co professionally at collaborations, festivals and community events when required.
- Help create a brewery that’s organised, safe and enjoyable for everyone to work in.
About You
You’ll be someone who:
- Loves brewing and takes genuine pride in producing consistently great beer.
- Has solid practical brewing experience and enjoys working in a production environment.
- Understands fermentation, brewing processes and quality control.
- Is mechanically minded and enjoys solving problems.
- Has a keen eye for detail and cares about doing things properly.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage their time effectively.
- Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
- Is curious, adaptable and always looking to learn.
- Isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Minimum five years’ practical brewing experience.
- Full, clean Drivers licence (including manual driving experience) & Forklift licence
- Sound understanding of brewing operations, fermentation and production processes.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining canning lines.
- A general certificate in Brewing.
Desirable
- Qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with quality assurance systems or laboratory testing.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Practices for beverages including MPI food safety regulations.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Your standard schedule will run Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm, with occasional weekend work as required.
